Review by hotel critic
During our romantic escape to Alnmouth, the Whittling House truly enchanted us with its charming ambiance and delightful service. The spacious, well-decorated room boasted quality furnishings, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom equipped with fluffy towels and lovely toiletries-perfect for unwinding after a day exploring this picturesque seaside village. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delicious à la carte selection that kept us satisfied throughout our adventures. And let's not forget the fabulous meals we enjoyed in the hotel restaurant; each dish was a delightful taste journey. A special mention goes to Karen, the lovely staff member who went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay-her warmth made us feel right at home. The Whittling House is definitely a gem, and I look forward to returning in the autumn to soak in more of Alnmouth's serene beauty!
