During our romantic escape to Alnmouth, the Whittling House truly enchanted us with its charming ambiance and delightful service. The spacious, well-decorated room boasted quality furnishings, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom equipped with fluffy towels and lovely toiletries—perfect for unwinding after a day exploring this picturesque seaside village. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delicious à la carte selection that kept us satisfied throughout our adventures. And let’s not forget the fabulous meals we enjoyed in the hotel restaurant; each dish was a delightful taste journey. A special mention goes to Karen, the lovely staff member who went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay—her warmth made us feel right at home. The Whittling House is definitely a gem, and I look forward to returning in the autumn to soak in more of Alnmouth's serene beauty!
